Last September 10, 2022, the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority, together with UP Pre-Medical Honor Society, UP Health Sciences and Pre-Medicine Society and Sir Ramon Anievas Jr., held one of its series of blood drives, Lukso ng Dugo, at the Missionaries of the Poor in San Andres Bukid, Manila.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light the inadequacies of our health care system, including our critical shortage of blood units available for transfusion in the PGH Blood Bank. We recognize that blood donations serve as an important avenue in raising awareness of this ever-present demand, and as a necessity to address this scarcity.
