I am a brother of the Mu Sigma Phi.
The first time I made my vow as a full-fledged brother of
the Medical Students’ Fraternity was during my batch’s induction rites. I could
not help but be in awe as, young as I was, I stood in the presence of giants in
the medical field. Such was the joy that I felt when it was no less than Brod
Tony Oposa MΣΦ ’51, world-renowned surgeon, who put the fraternity pin on my
barong’s collar. It never occurred to me that one day, I would be renewing the
vows that I made as a brother of the Mu Sigma Phi with such luminaries.
