November 15, 2011 – The Mu Sigma Phi Sorority has always endeavoured to serve the Filipino people to the best possible way. For the entire month of November, as per tradition and in strengthening the pillar of Service, the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority and Fraternity celebrated the Service Month. As part of this month’s activities, Lukso ng Dugo, a blood-letting activity, was organized at the Calderon Hall Lobby on the 15th of November, 2011.

The half-day activity was for the benefit of the PGH Blood Bank. UP College of Medicine students and employees, as well as some PGH doctors, made this activity a success. By the day’s end, their generous act of donating blood allowed the Blood Bank to gather 26 bags of 450cc-blood bags. These bags of blood will surely be of help in saving the lives of the patients of the Philippine General Hospital.

UPCM students and employees, as well as PGH doctors, took part in the blood-letting activity organized by the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority.

Lukso ng Dugo is a service activity of the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority in response to the growing need of blood in Philippine General Hospital.
