Witness Tomorrow’s Glory: Mu Week 2010 Launches

MU Week

The 75th year, with all its splendor, glamour and sparkle, has now ended. But as a new page is turned in the history of our beloved Sorority, the legacy continues to live on.

The 76th Mu Week opens with the exact same message. From the opening ceremonies of the MUseo and Drug Bank, to the tradition of the Fiesta at the Hut and the impressive line-up of activities for the week, the Sorority lives up to its glorious destiny.

With Modern Art as a theme, the MUseo Opening formally started this year’s MU Week festivities last August 23. Showing golden hand sculptures symbolizing the four pillars of sisterhood, service, scholarship, and leadership and pop art renditions of familiar faces in the sorority, the exhibit was indeed a unique work of art. Nina Berba, Batch 1987 graced the event and gave the opening remarks. The re-launching of the Drug Bank soon followed, with Drug Bank Coordinator, Majah Jacob, Batch 2013, giving everyone a background of its humble beginnings as well as the procedures for its use. Everyone then headed to the Hut for the traditional Fiesta where alumnae, undergraduates and applicants alike enjoyed each other’s company. A fitting opening for the wonderful years ahead, indeed, with Mu, we can witness tomorrow’s glory. All for the glory of the Mu Sigma Phi!
