With the ever growing need for better healthcare in the Philippines, the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity alongside the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation conducted a two-part project aiming to address the pressing health issues amongst the different Gawad Kalinga Villages of Las Piñas. The first part of the project is a capability building workshop held last March 5, 2016 aiming to educate different Gawad Kalusugan Health Volunteers from various GK Villages regarding the topics Asthma and Dehydration.

Whereas, the second part happened last March 19, 2016 with the Gawad Kalusugan Volunteers lecturing the same issues to the GK Sta. Rita community themselves.

Brothers of the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity Batch 2020 under the guidance of Dr. Anthony Geronimo H. Cordero МΣΦ 1992, Dr. Ceferino A. Lustre II МΣΦ 2009 and the undergraduate brothers, spearheaded the talks in asthma, dehydration and also a crash course review on taking blood pressure. Each lecture was ended with a recap and identification of potential speakers for the second part of the project.

After the capability building workshop, the second part of the project entailed the GKal Volunteers to take on the role of lecturers aided by the brothers of the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity on the sidelines. Public Health Lectures on Asthma and Dehydration was conducted on the Sta. Rita community with GKal Volunteers Neptali Del Mundo and Mhel Balagot serving as speakers.

Together, the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation is moving towards better health.
