MU challenges the Class of 2015 to take part in its glory

As we take a rest from our work as medical students and doctors, we look back at the glorious achievements of the fraternity. We evaluate the present state of the fraternity and realize how every moment of the past molded the Mu Sigma Phi we have now, how the might of the our brotherhood conquered all. We look back to those times; wanting these good times to continue by sharing the glory to others. This year, we introduce That Ol' Frat Feeling to the Class of 2015.

Such were manifested by the brods during the Fraternity Orientation at Caliente Bar on July 15, 2010. An annual event of the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity, Frat-O aims to introduce the different facets of the fraternity to the newest class of the College of Medicine. Hosted by brods Pipo Bundoc, Carlo Catabijan, and Bob Gomez all from MΣΦ Batch 1986--there was never a dull moment as the trio entertained the undergrad and alumni brods in attendance, not to mention the good number of attendees from Class 2015 who were there to learn what Mu was all about.

The program started off with a greeting from Most Exalted Brother Danilo dV. Alpapara, Jr. MΣΦ 2011, welcoming the young men of 2015 and the brods in attendance. The four pillars of the fraternity that embody in every Mu man -- Brotherhood, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service -- were discussed by brods Orlino Talens MΣΦ 1969, Rolly Aguilar MΣΦ 1981, and Raffy Consunji and Randy Cañal of MΣΦ 1992.

Brod Mairre Gaddi MΣΦ '14 received one of the Fraternity's scholarship grants for garnering the highest GWA amongst his batchmates.

The success of the program, the speeches, the jokes and witty quips of the hosts, and the enthusiastic participation of the brods, all melded together to show what being a Mu was all about. This, in turn, translated into the favourable responses of the young men of Class 2015. What happened in the last hour of the evening can only be described as a noisy blur, as every other minute a new member from class 2015 confidently declared their intention to join Mu. It is that ol' frat feeling that been carried on throughout the history of Mu and will keep on living in the next batch 2015.

This was a wild Frat O. True, the night ended with a "blur". Sa speech pa lang ni Brod Raffy '92, mapapasali ka ulit kahit Brod na eh!
