Brod Renald Peter Ty Ramiro ΜΣΦ 1991 was chosen as the recipient of the Centennial Service Award of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Philippine General Hospital. The award was presented in celebration of the 30th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation week, and coincided with the University of the Philippines-Manila centennial festivities.
The awarding ceremonies were held last July 15, 2008, at the PGH atrium. Present at the awarding were Mayor of the City of Manila Alfredo Lim, PGH Director Carmelo Alfiler, MD ΜΣΦ 1972 and Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine Dr. Joy Evangelista.
Brod Renald is the current Chair of the Philippine Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine (PARM) Visayas Council.
