Brod Pinggoy Danguilan bags gold at the Philippine International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open
Blood, sweat and tears reap jiu-jitsu gold for Pinggoy

January 16, 2010 – Besting fighters from as far as Guam, Australia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Borneo, and Sweden, Pinggoy Danguilan МΣΦ 2013 fought to an impressive gold medal finish at the Philippine International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Open, one of the biggest BJJ competitions in Asia. Congratulations from the Fraternity!

Brod Pinggoy represented Team Atos-Vamos Para Frente Jiu-Jitsu, under the command of BJJ Asian greats Ali Sulit, Ralph Go, and Carlo Pena. Dr. Mike Saniel МΣΦ 2006, another BJJ veteran, is a teammate.

Brod Pinggoy balances his rigorous BJJ training with the immense challenges of Second Year Medicine. “I shed blood, sweat, and tears training for this,” he adds. “I had to want winning the gold so bad, to a point where I knew I was in control of what was to come. I knew, plain and simple: the gold medal would be hanging on my neck by day’s end.”

Once again, congratulations for this hard-earned victory! All for the glory!
