The MU SIGMA PHI Fraternity is recognized once more for its continuous efforts dedicated to service, this time by the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP) during their 65th anniversary celebrations.
The PHAP is a conglomerate of organizations dedicated to the promotion of public health and welfare in the country through cooperation with local governments and private institutions in providing easier access to quality healthcare. The plaque reads: “The Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines and PHAP Cares Foundation, Inc., in sincere appreciation present the President’s Plaque of Recognition to MU SIGMA PHI Fraternity [of the] UP College of Medicine for its invaluable commitment in the advocacy efforts of the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines in transforming communities through partnerships in health on the occasion of its 65th anniversary in support of Government’s initiatives on public private cooperation towards achieving universal health care, in particular through the sharing of the award-winning films of the Quisumbing-Escandor Film Festival for Health during the SineSabi Film Fair and Forum held on the 18th of October, 2011 at the AFP Theater, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Given this 21st day of October 2011, at the Ballroom, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Makati City."
