Last Tuesday, March 01, 2011, the Office of the Dean and the Medicine Student Council of the UP College of Medicine held the UP Medicine Student Convocation, an annual event that recognizes the various outstanding individuals and groups in the community for their remarkable achievements.

Of equal reason for jubilation are the feats of our resident brothers. Our Most Exalted Brother, Danilo de Villa Alpapara, Jr. MΣΦ 2011 reaped the Dean's Citation for Leadership. It was held at the new auditorium donated by Col. Felicisimo N. Buenafe, MD, JD, MΣΦ 1960 and inaugurated last December 20, 2010. The multipurpose auditorium houses lecture rooms donated by UPCM Classes 1985 and 1987 in grateful anticipation of their upcoming Silver Jubilees in 2012 and 2014.

Indeed, it was a day that witnessed the greatness of Mu men. The first, the largest, and the most acclaimed medical fraternity in Asia, the Mu Sigma Phi continues to soar in its tradition of brotherhood, leadership, scholarship and service.
