The Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority announced their presence to the freshmen of Class 2016 in providing a showcase of skills and top-quality entertainment during Alter Ego: Even Heroes Know How to Party, the annual Freshman Party of the UP College of Medicine, last June 16, 2011 at the BSLR-East.

Starting off with introductory videos masterfully created by Brother Reporter Berbi Berba MΣΦ 2015, the night’s excitement soared two notches higher as the future heirs of the Mu Band riffed off to the crowd’s delight. This Mu Band is composed of Rocky Jacinto on lead guitar, Guardian of the Temple Niño Venida on rhythms, Jules Huibonhoa on bass, and resident beatboxer Picoy Cruz on percussion, all from MΣΦ 2015.

This was followed by some eye-popping Mu Moves, led by members of MΣΦ 2014 and 2015, sparking numerous rounds of resounding chants of “Mu! Mu! Mu!” from the numerous brods and sisses in attendance. Rounding off the night was another performance by the Mu Band with Brod Aries Poncio MΣΦ 2015 and Sis Agnes Cubillas μΣΦ 2015, serenading Class 2016 with Carlos Santana’s Smooth.
