The Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and the Office of Senator Pia Cayetano continue their strong parthernship through a series of Quisumbing-Escandor Film Festival (QEFF) film screenings within a span of two weeks, further raising awareness about Maternal and Child Health through the Fraternity's award-winning flagship service project.

An audience of 250 mothers came to the Taguig screenings of QEFF Films

Three of the 2nd QEFF's top films - Grand Prize winner Limang Libo by Ice Idanan, Jury Award for Short Film winner Sa Direksyon ni Makoy - Da Final Cut by Genevieve Caberte, and Short Film finalist Tinalikdan by Edgar Baltazar - were shown to close to 250 mothers in Brgy. Fort Bonifacio, Taguig last May 30, followed by another one in Pateros attended by almost 200 residents last June 8, 2011. This marks the fifth and sixth times, respectively, that the good Senator has partnered with us in bringing the QEFF films to the masses. The film screenings were then followed an open forum facilitated by Bearer of the Staff Marvin Masalunga MΣΦ 2014.

Although neither the Fraternity nor the QEFF subscribes to any side of the oft-debated RH Bill, recently Senator Pia Cayetano used the 2nd QEFF Situationer, made by Brods Dr. Julian Cañero MΣΦ 2010, Kiev Tanayan MΣΦ 2012, and Uly Gopez MΣΦ 2013, as she officially declared her sponsorship of the Reproductive Health Bill (Senate Bill No. 2865) during a Senate Plenary session last June 7, 2011.
