Brod Dr. Jose Miguel Vargas Vergara MΣΦ 1984 was featured in the Lifestyle section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s online newspages. 
Dr. Vergara did not specialize in any field, in line with his desire to
be involved in mission work all over the Philippines. “Doc Mikey”, as
fondly known by his patients, pioneered a project called bio-intensive
gardening as part of a nutrition program in order to keep townsfolk
healthy through self-sufficiency in food.
