June 23, 2010 - The intermittent rains failed to douse the fiery energy unleashed at Malate District as the annual freshman party by the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority treated Class 2015 to a wild night of great rock music, overflowing drinks, exciting raffle prizes, and pure, spirited fun. This year's party, with the theme Mu Rock, was highlighted by performances from the highly acclaimed Mu Band, with a twist: the freshmen were no less the rock stars of the night as they sang to the band's stunning guitar riffs and pounding drum beats. Adding further excitement to the party were performances by Dr. Armando Crisostomo MƩΦ'81, who was himself a member of the Mu Band in the late 70's, and Pacifico Armando "Picoy" Cruz, Class 2015's resident beatboxer, who has garnered a number of awards already for his talent in beatboxing.
Other highlights of the event included the raffle prizes, and the pic-in-a-box booth, which presented the freshmen with tangible memories of the exceptional night. A part of the membership committee's activities, this year's freshman party was headed by Brod Mark Mauricio MƩΦ'14 and Sis Karen Abalos µΦƩ'14.
