As part of Mu Sigma Phi’s commitment to service projects that empower communities, Mu Brods and Sisses distributed wheelchairs to disabled Batangueño citizens at the Rotary Club of Lipa South Center, Sitio Suna, Barangay Sabang, Lipa City on May 8, 2011.

MU Distributes Wheelchairs to the Disabled of Lipa

In cooperation with the city government’s Committee on Persons with Disability (CPWD), Mu conducted “Gulong ng Kaunlaran at Pag-asa”, which endowed wheelchairs to 25 patients. The event also served as a venue to teach and provide families and caretakers guidelines on the proper care of patients on wheelchairs.

Prior to the distribution and lecture-demonstration, Mu Brods and Sisses joined hand in hand in the assembly of wheelchairs at the Rotary Center. A Mass and Turnover Ceremony was also held at the parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus to commemorate the event.
