This meeting took place during Gawad Kalinga’s national meeting in Quezon City. This initiative gained support from the Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority membership after learning of Tony Meloto’s appeal to all Filipinos, especially those living abroad, to alleviate poverty and homelessness in the Philippines. The Mu Sigma Phi’s donation will provide the much needed funds to expand the creation of villages nationwide. A basic village of 20-25 homes will require a funding of 3 million pesos.

The Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority will also collaborate with Gawad Kalinga to provide the much needed health care services to these villages.
