The May 4, 2011 edition of ABS-CBN’s TV patrol featured Dr. Edwin M. Mercado ΜΣΦ 1987 as he performed an arthroscopic meniscectomy. The segment highlights the ultramodern medical facilities and procedures available at the recently inaugurated University Physicians’ Medical Center (UPMC), also known as the PGH Faculty Medical Arts Building (FMAB).
Brod Edwin is an orthopedic surgeon, and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Daniel Mercado Medical Center and the UPMC. The UPMC houses the clinics of the country’s top doctors and seasoned paramedical practitioners from the Philippine General Hospital. Though it boasts a roster of the finest medical professionals, its exceptional services come at very economical rates—notably lower compared to other private hospitals.     |
