MU Foundation Endows Scholarship Grants for 2010 Print E-mail

Last May 18, 2010, the Mu Sigma Phi Foundation - Scholarship Committee headed by Sis Dr. Joie Cañal µΣΦ 1995 named three new scholars from the Fraternity's Batch 2014: Joseph Brazal, Marvin Masalunga, and Mark Jerome Mauricio. They are joined by four other new scholars from the Sorority, bringing the total Scholarships of MSPF for year 2010 to a staggering 18.

True to our Pillars of Scholarship and Brotherhood, the scholars were chosen on the basis of need and merit. Among the benefits of MU scholars are sponsorships for their tuition, living allowances, and books. The Fraternity congratulates its latest addition to the proud roll of MU Scholars!

Joseph, Batch Leader of 2014, hails from Los Baños, Laguna. A UPLB BS Biology graduate specializing in Microbiology, Joseph worked as a research assistant in The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) before entering the College of Medicine. Joseph is skilled in writing and plans to specialize in Pediatrics.

Coming from Tanza, Cavite, Marvin is a cum laude graduate of BS Biology in UP Diliman. Marvin is interested in research, having published his undergraduate thesis in the international journal Parasitology Research, garnering him several awards. His hobbies include writing, sketching, and dancing. He plans to specialize in Pathology.

 

Mark Jerome G. Mauricio

Dave and Lynette Guirao Scholarship

MU awards scholarship grants to new brods

Mau is a cum laude BS Public Health graduate of UP Manila. As the Batch's resident Photoshop master, Mau led 2014 to a successful iHaranaMu . Mau is from Quezon City. He enjoys dancing and singing, maintaining membership in the multi-awarded UP MedChoir. He plans to specialize in either Infectious Diseases or Radiology.

 

 

The Fraternity extends its sincere thanks to the untiring Scholarship Committee of the Mu Sigma Phi Foundation, bolstered by the many brods and sisses who have made these Scholarships possible. All for the glory!

Congrats Brods! Maraming salamat sa alumni natin here and in the US for their unwavering support to the undergrads of the Fraternity and Sorority! The MU Foundation scholarship grants are one of the teeming privileges and advantages of the MU Brods and Sisses.
