Mt. Pulag Weekend
Jan. 26-27, 2008

I organized a climb for my Mu brods to Mt. Pulag. Fortunately, the weather was favorable and we took great shots at the summit after a chilling, 6-celsius night temperature. I also field-tested my Sony Ericsson K850, which turned out to be a marvelous tool, versatile enough to take macro shots of the flora of Mt. Pulag and also capture the spectacular sunrise at Luzon's highest peak. In terms of climbing, the trail was easy enough, good for right knee which has a patello-femoral syndrome, an injury to watch out for among hikers. Good thing I brought my Celecoxib tablets, which did the trick.

Present in the climb were Allan Larona (2008); RJ Bernabe (2009); Nol Batenga, Julian Cañero, Gerome Bolalin, Tonton Llagas, Yousef Marino, and myself (2010); Neil Illescas and Jesse Dion (2011); and Joboy Dumlao and Lee Capili (2012).

This is my second trip to Mt. Pulag, and my third consecutive weekend climb (after Mt. Makiling via Sto. Tomas and Mt. Batulao)
