As the Diamond Anniversary activities of the fraternity have kicked off with the Quisumbing Escandor Film Festival for Health this February 2008, the Alumni Committee also concluded its flagship project, Luslos Ubos, timely to the start of the 75th Anniversary activities of the Mu Sigma Phi. Luslos Ubos is the final phase of the Charity MU Golf Tournament held last May 2007, where PGH pediatric hernia patients will be beneficiaries of free surgical repair procedures.
Headed by our Keeper of the Flame, Perry Lustre ΜΣΦ 2009, and coordinated by the Department of Surgery through Brod Boy Hilvano ΜΣΦ 1971, the Hernia Mission served a total of 26 pediatric patients, reducing the three-month backlog of hernia operations in the PGH. Our Brods in the Department of Anesthesiology, Carlo Catabijan ΜΣΦ 1986, Mark Mijaro ΜΣΦ 1994, and Chris Bryan Sembrana ΜΣΦ 2007, volunteered in the hernia mission and were vital to the success of the activity.
The Keeper of the flame would like to acknowledge Brod Nic Molon ΜΣΦ 1972 for serving as project adviser for the 2007 Charity Mu Golf. Perry would like to thank the MU Golf Club led by Ces Espiritu ΜΣΦ 1982 and Jun Aragon ΜΣΦ 1982 for their unwavering support in the fraternity's annual golf tournament. We hope to see alll of the Mu Golfers again for this year's Fraternity Golf tournament. Calling on the December 2007's UPMAS Golf Tournament Champs!

Mu Sigma Phi's number at the Tao Rin Pala 2009. Watch as the entire fraternity performs a "stomp" routine. Turn up the volume to hear a very familiar chant to the tune of LMFAO's sh*ts, err... Shots. |
